Eligible to apply are only professionally, artistically, and film industry-qualified and experienced independent film producers in a legally recognized form. Detailed information can be found in the guidelines below.
Eligible for funding are regional film festivals with significant relevance according to the guidelines provided. Only professionally, artistically, and film industry-qualified and experienced organizers are eligible to apply.
In exceptional cases, it is also possible to apply for funding for other areas of filmmaking. A preliminary discussion is highly recommended.
The following documents must be attached to the written funding application:
Information about the Applicant:
- Current excerpt from the company register and/or commercial register
- Most recent annual financial statement
- Proof of previous activities, CV
- Proof of business authorization
Information about the Project:
- Synopsis
- Script / Treatment (or concept for documentary projects)
- Crew list / Cast list (including availability statements for key crew members)
- Location list
- Schedule with completion date
- Shooting schedule
- Detailed distribution concept (marketing strategy)
- Preliminary contracts / agreements (distributors, sales agents, TV stations)
Styria Connection
Information about Financing:
- Detailed budget with specified Styria impact
- Financing plan for total production costs
- Proof of funding applications and approvals
Funding Process
The application and processing of funding takes place in several steps.

Submissions for film funding are processed electronically to make your submission as efficient as possible.
To apply for funding, you must register.
ATTENTION: All documents and forms must be uploaded electronically and also submitted in one hard copy! (For the purpose of meeting the deadline, the date of the postmark will be considered.)
After successful submission, the documents will be thoroughly reviewed by our team for completeness and compliance with the guidelines.
Subsequently, your application will be carefully examined and evaluated by an expert advisory board during a meeting.
You will be notified of the result in writing.
The final accounting is carried out electronically via your personal account. The form (receipt list) can be found in your personal account.
