Hirschegg - Pack

Hirschegg-Pack stretches from Hebalm across the Pack and Hirschegg alpine pastures to Salzstiegl, close to the border with Carinthia. This picturesque, flower-filled mountain village offers a wide range of leisure activities throughout the year.

In summer, the surrounding mountains invite visitors to explore scenic hiking trails, including the long-distance hiking route "From Glacier to Wine". For those seeking a little more adventure, the trials park at Salzstiegl and the activity programme at Moasterhaus offer plenty of excitement. On warm summer days, Packer Stausee reservoir is the perfect place to cool off. Covering 60 hectares, it offers a variety of activities, including swimming, fishing and sailing. Another special experience is llama trekking, a unique way to discover the beautiful mountain scenery in both summer and winter.

Winter brings its own highlights. On Hebalm, three cross-country ski trails and a biathlon shooting range offer opportunities to enjoy winter sports surrounded by peace and nature. Those looking for more action on the slopes can head to the Salzstiegl ski and toboggan area, with 40 hectares of skiable terrain and 12 kilometres of slopes waiting to be explored.
